New Forest Players in U18 Championship

New Forest volleyball club’s junior sensation, Theo Lucas, made his debut for Wessex /Leaf Volleyball Club at the weekend representing their U18 boys team in the second round of the National knockout competition.

The day consisted of a three team tournament with the top two teams going through to the last 8’s to be held at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering.

Forest Ladies team off to a flying start

The New Forest Ladies have had the most successful start to the season possible, kicking off by winning four games from four. After just missing out on a promotion to Division 1 last season, the ladies have flown out of the blocks to chase that first spot this year. A tough fighting spirit and a never give up attitude has helped them to sit at the top of the table since the first game.

In the opening match of the season, recently relegated Oxford Ladies travelled to New Forest’s new home, Ballard School, to play. A mixture of new players and old regulars helped the team breeze through the first set 25-17. Although the Oxford Ladies came back fighting, NF kept on fighting, winning the second and third sets 25-20. MVP given to Amy Weemes.
